Welcome to My Blog!

Let me start out by saying: welcome to my blog! :) I am glad you are here!

This is where I will be sharing with you the daily toils and triumphs that I will experience while I am living and studying in Adelaide, Australia. Get ready for a rollercoaster! :) I am so excited for this journey and can't wait to get started! And the journey starts soon...

Here's the flight itinerary (in brief form):

I will be departing from Cedar Rapids, Iowa at about 4:00pm on Monday, January 26th and heading to Chicago where I will board another flight to San Francisco. At about 10:45pm, I will be leaving the United States of America and headed for the Commonwealth of Australia! Yeah boy! For 3 months! Then I will land in Sydney at 8 in the morning on Wednesday and arrive in Adelaide at about 1 o'clock. (FYI: There is a 14 hour time difference between the US and Australia.)

Then off to the AMAZING PLACE WHERE I GET TO LIVE FOR THE NEXT THREE MONTHS! Check it out at www.hosannaheights.com. Rock climbing, caving, hiking, pictures with koalas, and did I mention that the beach is just beyond the balcony of one side of the building, while the other side is a national park that has three waterfalls? :)

Well, I am off, but will be writing to you again soon. Until then. Paz.

  1. OMG I just visited your location site website. The photos are amazing! Just one question... why are all the pictures of Asian students? Not that I have anything against Asians... just wondering.

Well have a safe trip and let us know when you arrive safely!

  2. Isn't it great?! I am so freakin' excited!!!
The reason there are pictures of only Asian students is because that is the general population of students who study abroad in Australia. And most of them are studying nursing.

  3. Hilary!!!! I bet you're at the airport right now... getting ready for your first flight! So, if you check your laptop in the meantime, I hope that you have a wonderful flight! I expect to see some kangaroo videos soon! And of course all of the other sought after australian attractions (reverse-flushing toilets, australian men, vegemite, etc.)!
